How long will my repair take?
Our standard turnaround time is 3 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays) from the time that the item arrives at our workshop.
Why is my repair delayed?
In some rare cases your repair may be delayed for any number of reasons. If we need to order specific parts or require additional information from you before proceeding, we will be in touch to communicate this upfront.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free return shipping on all local orders to main centres in South Africa. For outlying areas, there might be a surcharge but this will be communicated to you when we quote on the job. We do also offer a collect service so please let us know if you’d like to arrange this.
What if I am an international customer?
For orders outside of South Africa but within Southern Africa, we can arrange shipping for additional fee, which will be commented at the time of quoting.
What kind of repairs do you carry out?
We specialise in electronics for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. For a full service offering, please see our Services & Pricing page. For any enquiries about services not listed, please email us and we will be able to advise if we can assist or not.
What sort of experience do you have in the business?
We have more than 15 years of experience in the vehicle industry, specialising in Mercedes-Benz automobiles. We have been repairing remote keys, instrument clusters and ECUs, to name but a few, for quite a long time now, so we can certainly say that there are very few other professionals in the market with our knowledge and experience.
Once my remote key is repaired will it need any kind of reprogramming?
No, your remote key won’t need programming to your car when we send it back to you. If the remote belongs to that vehicle it will work properly without the need of reprogramming it.
In some cases though the remote key needs to be synchronised with the car. This synchronising procedure consists of some simple steps that you can easily follow with the instructions provided by our engineers.
My remote key is water damaged, will you be able to repair it?
If a key has experienced water damage, it is quite possible that the circuit board has been damaged. The extent of the damage can’t be assessed beforehand; only after one of our engineers opens the remote case and checks the actual condition of the circuit board can he determine if he will be able to proceed with the repair or otherwise if we will need to order a new circuit board.
Please note, that ordering a new circuit board is not included in our standard repair service. In such a case, we will contact you to keep you updated, give you a quotation and ask for your authorisation to proceed. Please also note that the repair service will be slightly delayed by this.
Someone has tried to repair the item, will this affect the repair service?
If a mechanic, a technician, an acquaintance or even yourself have tried to repair the item and have unsuccessfully tampered with it, it may be possible that some of the internal parts have been irreversibly damaged in the process. Please note, that our standard repair service does not cover faulty items due to customer/third party negligence or interference. In such cases, our engineers may need to quote you for the repair service.
